If you haven’t heard yet I scored some Vintage Theater Chairs form a local shop and I’m am so excited about them. You can read about my journey to buy them here. I know that I will use the chairs in our front entryway. Since that entry will not be our main entry I can decorate for aesthetics instead of purpose, basically I can just make it look pretty and not worry if it is functional. I have about an  8 ft wall that is a blank canvas for me to design.

Here are some ideas I have found so far…

This pretty much encompasses everything I envision for my entryway; gallery wall, pillows on the chairs and even baskets below to keep things in.

Sometimes however, less is more, with this vintage window and Welcome swag.

I’m not a reader, so if I had this many books they would be stacked and used as decor. I have never thought of putting them on the floor before, but it works.

I love this blown up black and white print. It is a little plain for me but I could see using a similar print and work other items in with it.

This gallery wall is to die for! The simple black text with the layers of hoops and green plates. Bravo cottonstem.com, you did amazing. If you click on the picture she shows you how she planed the wall.

Again I am not much of a reader so I would find a different quote. I love the book pages on the wall and a simple open book on the vintage theater chairs.

This could be dual purpose, dry out your flowers while making your house look pretty.

A giant tapestry with a simple green swag, understated elegance.

I didn’t plan on changing much with my Vintage Theater Chairs, but this one I might have to do. Add a pop of color to the underside so when the chair is flipped up, you have a surprise design element.

Besides all the other elements that I love about this one, I like the use of the rug under the chairs. Do you think Wisconsin will look as good as Southern does on the wall? Probably not. If you click on the picture and head over to her Instagram you can see how she has changes up the decor throughout the year.

I like the use of the hooks in this one, it is decorative yet functional. Guest can still hang their coats and I can hang pretty stuff.

After going through all of these designs, I’m looking at doing a gallery wall above my seats with or without some hooks. The chairs will have pillows and possibly a blanket on them with a rug below. Time to keep eye out for items to use.
