Spring has Sprung….

Spring has Sprung…..

Ok, ok we still are still a little ways away from Spring, but Spring has definitely hit my house.

Yesterday the sun was shinning and I stepped outside to soak up some rays, turned around and ran back in the house! Because I live in Wisconsin and it was freaking cold out!

So I did what any good Wisconsinite would do in the middle of a winter with no end in sight… decorated for Spring.

I finally got the chance to drag this beauty out of storage from last year’s Christmas (2018, not 2019).  I have been pinning  Tiered Tray decor ideas on Pinterest for over a year to get ideas!  As much as I have fallen in love with decorating I don’t like to change it up all the time, I like to enjoy my creations for some time and it is expensive! So I went with a Tiered Tray decor that  said Spring with a touch of Easter. Nailed It! A little bit of green, pop of purple and a vintage lamb pulled it all together.

The bottom of the tray was just so blah and I already felt like it had enough decor pieces in it so I ripped out a few book pages to line the bottom and that did the trick.

Book pages also came in handy to give my little lamb some height. Those finials I rescued off a little bridge my mom had. She thought I was nuts saving them because they were all chipped and falling apart but they are one of my favorite filler pieces.

This kitchen island is too big for just one decor piece so I added two more smaller pieces to bring it all together.

Apparently I had been collecting way more black and white enamel pieces then I had thought, but they all go great together and with anything.

My big project of the day was my entry way, prepping for that started earlier in the week…

I found this picture on Pinterest from The Rustic Pig Design and used it as my inspiration.

I already had a window and hoop at the house and some books too. My floral and greenery inventory is pretty small so I headed over to Amazon to see what I could find.  Then I planned to stop at a couple second head stores to find some white vases.

This is my end result…

They look nothing alike and I LOVE IT! The window just didn’t work, wrong size and color, but then I remembered these Angel Wings. I have been holding on to them for two years, just waiting for the oppurtunity to hang them on the wall. The hoops I randomly found at Walmart in the craft section and bought them on a whim because I knew I would use them eventually.

The flowers came in a pack with coordinated colors and greens. I just searched “pink flowers” on Amazon and found this pack from Ling’s. They come in a box as individual pieces with pretty long wire stems. The Eucalyptus I ordered separate and was going to use it on the shelf but I liked it better as a filler on the hoops.

Then when I was finsihed I just but a few extra flowers around to spruce things up…

Alright that is all for my Spring Fever decorating… for now!
I have plans for the kids’ bathroom which involves a few crafts…
