Welcome to Part 2 of my 2020 Fall Home Decor Tour… the Living Room. Today we are going to see the piece that started my Fall Decor craze this year and I am showing off some of my mediocre art talents.
When building we decided to do 9ft ceilings instead of the standard 8ft, you wouldn’t think that one foot would make a difference but it does. I feel like most of my decor stops at 6ft and then there is an empty 3ft to the ceiling. To fill this emptiness I decided to take on a couple of art projects making some fall signs. I wanted to make a couple of signs that looked liked they had spent most of their days along the roadside directing passing cars to the local pumpkin patch.

This sign is about 2ft x 4ft and filled the space above my newest set of theater chairs perfectly.

I told you I am slightly obsessed with the Hanging Eucalyptus this year, just a sprig here and a sprig there 🙂

This cute little center piece on the coffee table gives me Beauty and the Beast feels.

If you peep in the background of that picture you can get a look at what I have been waiting to show you. I didn’t want a fireplace in the house when we built it but I have been on the search for a fireplace surround or faux fireplace for this corner just for decorating purposes. I have a whole Pinterest board dedicated just for ideas. While searching for ideas for my faux fireplace I came across this picture from Instagram | katelynchantelblog and I knew I had to recreate it with my Faux Fireplace and so started my obsession with the Hanging Eucalyptus

My house had a lot more color then most of these Farmhouse Styled ones but I think my version turned out pretty good.
One more of my hand painted Fall signs.

Ok one last look at my fireplace from the rocking chair…
