Some may look at books and can’t wait to dive in and read them. I look at books and try to figure out how to decorate them! When looking for ideas on how to style my entryway with my Vintage Theater Chairs, I came across this picture from Home Bunch. I just love the whimsical way the pages seemed to float on the wall, much like reading a book takes you away, if you read them 🙂
Which lead me to think about other ways to decorate with books and book pages. Books can be an easy way to add height to a setting or add interest to your wall. They can be easy or as you will see can be very intricate designs.
This one is pretty easy, rip off the book covers and tie together with some lace ribbon.

Or you can go a step further and paint the covers, stamp some letters on the spine and wrap together in your choice of ribbon.

Flowers seem to be popular with the book pages. Add these simple rosettes to your existing decor

or bunch them together to make a stand alone bouquet of book page flowers

These flowers balls made with book pages look adorable on top of tea cups or add some height and place them on top of wooden candle sticks.

Don’t have a pretty pot for your real flowers? Wrap with book pages.

Add a 3D texture to your gallery wall with this book page flower wreath, frame it in with an old picture frame or mirror.

This one comes straight from the Queen herself from Magnolia Market at the Silos. I have this Aqua Post Box and think I may have to do something like this, when we finally have a house again that is.

Show off your talent with book page folding art. These dog paws would be perfect for my mom!

Around Christmas time add interest with these book trees or even give them out as gifts

Or create these tree ornaments with curled pages, maybe with pages from your favorite books.

Stumped on how to change the decor on your fireplace mantle? Add some book page garland that will go with any season.

Never run out of books to read at bedtime with this headboard made entirely out of books.

Add some more words to the pages would work great on the headboard above or as wall decor.

Last but certainly not least is this incredible Book Art (google it when you get a chance). What a conversation starter this piece would be in your home.

I hope that you enjoyed this compilation or Book and Book Page Decor and it got your creative juices flowing. Last year my parents sold a building that had a complete encyclopedia set and a set of law book spanning from the 1800’s to the early 1990’s and I am kicking myself now for not keeping some of those books. Oh well guess I will just add books to my list of garage sale items.
Love Always … Tam
